We are a boutique law firm representing seriously injured people. We handle a smaller number of cases because we believe it is important to give personal attention to each client. We do not advertise on television and never will. Adjusters know that we give each case the attention it deserves and that they will not be able to ignore us. With decades of experience, we have the knowledge and skill to prepare each case for trial. You make the decision on whether your case is tried but great trial results also allow us to get great settlement results. Adjusters will not treat you fairly voluntarily but they can be made to do so.
We have represented hundreds of people injured in work accidents, automobile crashes, and tractor-trailer (18-wheeler) collisions. We know and appreciate the fact that you have many choices when choosing an attorney and we want you to choose the attorney that is best for you. Which attorney is best for you? The best attorney for you is the one with which you feel the most comfortable after considering several factors. Your attorney should have the experience and desire to go to court when necessary. Your attorney should be a leader within the legal community; should be authoritative enough to speak at seminars; should be highly rated by his peers and should be easily accessible to speak with you.
We believe that great lawyers not only have vast legal knowledge and experience but also communicate regularly with their clients. Zack Hendon has these qualities, but you do not have to trust us blindly. Zack Hendon has been AV rated (the highest rating available) by his peers in Martindale-Hubbell Directory for his legal ability and ethical standards for over thirty-five years. He is 5-Star rated by his clients on Google. He is also rated 10.0 out of 10.0 (“Superb”) by Avvo.com and is rated as a Super Lawyer for many years in a row. He was President of the Cobb County Trial Lawyers from 2018 to 2020 and is President of The Workers’ Compensation Claimants’ Lawyers (WCCL) organization from 2020 to 2022. Perhaps most importantly, Zack Hendon and the staff at The Hendon Law, LLC make communication and returning phone calls of clients a top priority.
The standard operating procedure in Georgia workers’ comp cases is: Delay, Deny, Defend. In Georgia workers’ compensation cases, the injured worker is often blamed by his employer for having an accident and making insurance rates rise, even though workman’s comp is not a fault-based system. The employer and adjuster often insinuate the injured worker is lying about the accident or injury. The employer/adjuster then sends the employee to company doctors who act as if they do not believe the person’s pain is real and who often delay diagnostic testing for months. The insurance companies will then hire a medical case manager to interfere with the relationship between you and the doctor and to remind the company doctor that the insurer is watching him or her.
The Hendon Law Firm will work hard to get you to the best doctor and make the insurer pay for it. The injured worker is often threatened with termination by the employer. Even if not fired, he or she faces financial difficulty and hardship due to low compensation benefit rates – if they are receiving workers’ compensation benefits at all. The laws and rules of the workers’ compensation system in Georgia have becoming increasingly hostile to the injured worker over the last 20 years. It is almost impossible to go through this system with a serious injury alone and without representation. Do not let these
adjusters take advantage of you.
