A Request to Tower Workers from OSHA

OSHA is asking the public for information regarding safety hazards threatening communication tower and maintenance workers.  As more and more towers are being constructed to accommodate a growing demtowerand for cell phones and wireless services, tower workers and maintenance personnel are feeling the pressure.  OSHA reports that these types of employees regularly climb from 100 to 2,000 feet and falls from communications towers killed 13 employees in 2013 and 12 in 2014.

OSHA is compiling information to ensure the safety of these types of workers.  The comment period ends on June 15, 2015 and comments can be submitted electronically at www.regulations.gov.

If you or a loved one has fallen from a tower or been injured on the job, call the Hendon Law Firm for a free consultation today at 770-284-3737.
