Former NBA player Daron ‘Mookie’ Blaylock has been charged with driving on a suspended license and failing to stay in his lane following a fatal car accident in Atlanta on Friday.
Blaylock was driving an SUV that crossed over a median and struck a van head-on, injuring the passenger of the van, identified as 43 year old Monica Murphy and injuring her husband Frankie.
The Murphy’s and Blaylock were all transported to Atlanta Medical Center. Blaylock was airlifted from the scene of the car wreck and remains hospitalized and in guarded condition. Monica Murphy died from her injuries on Friday night.
Officials hoped to speak to Blaylock today to determine if any additional charges are warranted.
