Tragedy in Bangladesh- 112 Perish in Factory Fire

This post is eerily similar to my September 7, 2012 blog post about the Shirtwaist Factory fire which occurred in New York City in 1911.  However, this fire occurred in Bangladesh on November 24, 2012.  In the Bangladesh fire, at least 112 people were killed.  Many were trapped by the flames due to a lack of emergency exits in the eight story building.  100 bodies were recovered from the fire and 112 people died when they jumped from the building to escape the flames.  Workplace safety remains an important issue all over the world, in Atlanta, Georgia, and in Bangladesh.

If you have been injured at work in the Atlanta area or anywhere in North Georgia and have any questions, I hope you will call me at 770-284-3737 or visit me at www.HendonLaw.com.
