Georgia State Board of Workers' Compensation

Governor Nathan Deal has appointed insurance defense attorney Frank McKay as the new Chairman to head the State Board of Workers’ Compensation.  Frank will replace the previous Chairman of the Board, Richard Thompson, and his appointment begins March 1, 2013.

The Chairman of the State Board of Workers’ Compensation is the head of the three-member board that makes up the Appellate Division.  Among other functions, the Appellate Division judges are responsible for hearing and reviewing cases in which one party has filed an appeal from an award of an Administrative Law Judge.
